Writing-On-Stone Park: Guided Tour, 22 Sept 2014
This is a famous panel dating to the prehistoric period. It shows five warriors
with round shields, a style of rock art most commonly found in carvings that predate
the arrival of the horse in the 1730's. To the left is another important but more
recent carving of the "Ermine" man. Although rather faint, he is seen
leading a horse and therefore likely carved in the late 1700's.
The rebuilt NWMP outpost can also be seen across the valley.
