He became the divisional commander of the 4th Canadian Division in 1916 with the rank of Major-General, and who finished the war as the senior divisional commander of the Canadian Corp. Also note the name of Maj. H.D.G Crerar on the lower left, who became General of the Canadian Corp during WWII.
