We first heard about Talus Lodge in the Winter of 2015 through the Alpine Rock and Garden club, and after looking into it further, decided we had to visit the place ourselves. We arranged a week in August, ordered some nice weather, and spent a very enjoyable time exploring this unique and scenic area located not far from the Great Divide.

Many times we have hiked to Burstall Pass in K-Country Alberta, and wondered what was across the valley... now we were finally able to find out for ourselves. In addition to a vast alpine plateau of weather carved limestone, we found a tremendous variety of alpine plants thriving in this beautiful corner of the Rockies.
