Beaufort Sea Seismic Survey: 1981

During the summer of 1981, I was sent up to the Beaufort Sea as a junior Geophysicist with Dome Petroleum to help monitor the operations of a ship based Shallow Seismic crew. The objectives of the surveys were to evaluate various offshore drilling sites for suitability and to look for any potential seabed hazards. The crew was Geomarine out of Halifax, and the following is a collection of photos, movie films and the journal I kept during that trip. Ian Watson
