Riley putting the first rocket on the pad... an "E" powered replica... primed and ready... liftoff... unfortunately the large fins caught the wind and
it keeled over and hit the side of the hill
before the parachute deployed... Riley with the remains... the second rocket, an "F" powered high alititude kit... the rocket carried an altimeter that recorded a peak altitude
of 620m (1980 ft) and top speed of 410 kph (250 mph). and the grand finale, our old standby,
the rocket camera... it was powered by a G-motor, the biggest motor that
could safely be loaded into the rocket... the camera rocket... launch pad... primed and ready... 3...2...1... and it's away... the rocket caught a southerly wind,
which blew it almost a mile away... but we found it, only slightly damaged.
Watch the video to relive the flight... only minor damage, it should fly again.
