Spring in southern Alberta. Time for the annual branding ritual. Emily and friend Brooke and Emily Brent picking out the next calf... Got one... Ready for the hot iron... Except we don't brand anymore, we just use ear tags... Attentive audience... Ear tags... Brent has another one... Riley and friend... Our rodeo friends, Riley and Clay arrived and showed us how roping was done... They always managed to get both hind feet... which makes it much easier on the calf...
